Lots o questions

1) What can governments do to protect children from Internet porn, child abuse online and exploitation?

2) How do you feel this matter is handled in the educational system? In the justice system?

3) Do you believe that the sexual slavery of children occurs in your country, and if so, do you think it is a problem?

4) Do you think, in your own country, that a rapist, child pornographer, or child molester is given enough jail time?
Do you think that most of them can be caught?

5)What do you think of a law where the public has to know where and when a pedophile gets out of prison? Do you know if your country enforces this?

6) Should pedophiles have a human right to have sex (or take pornographic images) with children (that is a person under the age of 18)?

The goals of the project are:

1) find and seek information that the public and victims need in order to combat child porn more effectively.
2) find and seek present attitudes about the commercial sexual exploitation of children
3) find others to work with, as well as victims to interview, that want to work on this issue
4) discover the differences of how each country combats child porn, in their NGO work and legal codes, for future change and collaboration.

1) I see three things - create awareness in campaign and build capacities for prevention for one, secondly - insist on legal definitions of this as a crime and set consequences for those who break these laws and finally keep track of protection using both awareness and legal frame as well as monitoring.

2) Obviously it is on the level of mere information and left to media to "educate" the public. As answered in the q.1 legal frame should be adopted and straightened in justice system first to get to the right things of communication through educational system. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense.

3) It is happening everywhere and is always a huge problem. The kids are new generations of people on the earth so they are going to carry that as a burden all their lives.

4) It is about justice system that is not giving enough importance to this issue. It is interesting to think how this has happened, because people are the most concerned about their kids wellbeing. Is this showing us that for the kids of the other people one is not concerned, or that parents think that they are the only protectioner for their kids, that the society should care for "bigger things". I think this is good issue for the separate survey of parents. My answer to both is NO, as the society or government of any country obvously doesn't care much for this type of crime.

5)This is what is usual in cases of other types of crime, when a person is monitored aferwards and is highly appliable to this. But I don't think that much has been done in practice in any country.

6) Human right? Nicely put! Human rights they should have for the all issues of their human behavior and right to be judged justly, but for this pathological behavior there is only one right - to take the consequences of what they were doing.

Final thoughts. Each country government knew how to deal with the issues that are seriously threatening wellbeing of the people if these threats were considered seriously enough. After the WWII the fascism was treated seriously on global level. That is what I think should be done with this, but the main question is WHEN the governments of each country would take this issue as serious enough? At the time being it is treated as a marginal thing, giving more attention to keeping property safe than keeping children safe, while my opinion is that it should be considered much more seriously. Raising awareness of the people is good, so that they can make some pressure and influence to the government and justice system.

Zo

So called Human Right
Well the reason I asked the question whether it should be a human right for a adult/pedophile to use a child for sex or to have sex then record the image in any way, is because of the amount of documentation out there that has used that phrase to challenge the legal system of the United States and abroad (NL included). One cannot censor the internet (namely child porn on the internet in libraries because to them it is a First Amendment right to have access to anything they please). And they feel it is their human right to have sex with a child, and do what they please with the image. I challenge this so-called right because NO child consents to sex. Especially those of the age when they are learning to talk.

1) What can governments do to protect children from Internet porn, child abuse online and exploitation?

As for our country, first of all our gov should create a special law on this this and to admit that this problem exists.

2) How do you feel this matter is handled in the educational system? In the justice system?

haha, it is even not handeled in our justice system yet. as for educational one - there is a silence on this matter... and everythig concerned sexual harrasment, abuse, and violence

3) Do you believe that the sexual slavery of children occurs in your country, and if so, do you think it is a problem?

I think it is a huge problem of our country, coz we have a lot of homeless children who are abused very often, and more that it is officially told.

4) Do you think, in your own country, that a rapist, child pornographer, or child molester is given enough jail time?
Do you think that most of them can be caught?

oh. it is a problem as i said before. our justice system does not work so good, and rapist could be not punished at all even everybody knows he did this. moreover, i would like to add that somethimes/not so rarely public opinion is against of victim of sexual violence. for example it is a 15-year old girl ppl will tell - why she is so attractive. she wanted to be raped, abused, or wanted to be a porn-start. she is a prostitute, so she is guilty herself.

5)What do you think of a law where the public has to know where and when a pedophile gets out of prison? Do you know if your country enforces this?

from other hand our jail system is cruel toward pedophile. in our prisons they are abused and raped by other prisoners, which does not help at all - it is not a justice but another violence, which increase this circle and problem.

the secnd part of question - n/a

6) Should pedophiles have a human right to have sex (or take pornographic images) with children (that is a person under the age of 18)?
NO WAY!!!
